Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH: A practical tool for assigning authorizations – simple and transparent<\/h1><\/h2><\/div>

The family-owned company Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (RST) develops and manufactures “Made in Germany” training equipment for the training and further education of pilots, crew members and aircraft technicians. With more than 180 employees, the company has been providing comprehensive support in the field of aviation training around the globe for over 30 years – from planning the necessary infrastructure, project management and evaluating economic and technical issues to developing complex, customized training solutions. RST is in constant contact with leading aircraft manufacturers and operators in both the civil and military sectors to ensure the professional implementation of its customers’ training requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Efficient authorization management for flexible access control<\/p>\n<\/div>

Although the authorization management at RST was already organized using AD groups, there was a desire to provide a more optimal overview of the authorizations (especially those inherited). Another concern was that departments such as the sales department work with folder structures in which access changes frequently and the corresponding authorizations should be assigned very granularly.
\nThe BAYOOSOFT Access Manager was a tool that not only relieved the burden on IT resources, but also ensured the documentation and traceability of all authorizations.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Relief for IT and optimized authorization structure<\/h3>\n

With the use of BAYOOSOFT Access Manager, the assignment of authorizations has been automated since commissioning and the directory managers are directly involved in the operational authorization process. They grant the authorizations for the directories they are responsible for themselves, by accepting or rejecting the requests addressed to them – completely without the involvement of IT and permanently traceable via the audit-proof documentation and the easy-to-understand reports. “We also used the migration to the Access Manager to clean up our existing authorization structure. Completely new structures and authorization groups were created, only very few old structures were adopted,” reports Andreas Wagner and adds: “The support was always friendly, responded well to our questions and gave us great support at all times.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
