The Hospital Future Fund: funding for IT security
Cybersecurity affects everyone. However, IT security is particularly sensitive in the medical sector. Advancing the digitalization of hospitals while at the same time protecting patients and IT infrastructures is a challenge.
With the Hospital Future Fund, the federal and state governments are investing up to 4.3 billion euros in projects that create secure solutions for digital infrastructures. Hospitals that do not belong to critical infrastructures according to BSI requirements can also benefit.
However, in order to receive funding for digitization projects, applicants must take a number of things into account.
One requirement relates to the project’s IT service providers. The Federal Social Security Office (BAS) assigns them a special role. For example, the Hospital Structural Fund Ordinance (KHSFV) stipulates that only certified IT service providers may be commissioned as a condition for funding categories 2 to 6 and 8 and 10. IT companies whose senior IT staff have completed training for eligible projects are eligible for funding.
How can we support you now?
As a certified IT service provider in accordance with KHSFV, BAYOOSOFT is authorized to assist you with eligible cybersecurity projects. Another plus: The BAYOOSOFT Access Manager is already used by Leipzig University Hospital to manage its authorizations transparently and protect sensitive data from external attacks. The University Hospital in Tübingen also uses the solution to manage passwords securely.
As an automated software solution, the BAYOOSOFT Access Manager enables you to securely organize authorization management for file servers, SharePoint, Active Directory and third-party systems. IT security is created when processes are automated, changes are documented and manual errors are eliminated.
